Aquaponics System Set-up
Aquaponics is the integrated production of fish (aquaculture) in tanks and organic vegetables (hydroponics) in soil-less system. ELR Family Trading Co., Inc. has ingeniously devised an aquaponics system of commercial size that allows production of freshwater fish in tanks more than five times the capacity in open ponds and the fish being raised does not exhibit off-taste or unpleasant flavor. The water being recirculated with only a simple trickling filter made of pebbles contained in recycled crates and no aerators would contain adequate levels of dissolved oxygen (DO) and a water quality similar to that of spring water. This unique condition is made possible by the application of a wonder biotech product developed by the Corporation known as Bio Aqua Life Saver (BALS) formed into a disc. This disc enhances and maintains the level of dissolved oxygen in the water.
The system also allows the production of organically-grown veggies e.g. all varieties of lettuce and other priced vegetables in a soil-less system under tropical conditions normally not possible and more importantly free or devoid of any chemical or toxic substances hence, very safe and healthy fir the salad bars when consumed fresh.
The system exhibits a very high return on investment and has a payback period of less than a year.
